For personal use but I don't think it can be used for a business. If you are looking for one for a business, the newest ones are squareup.com or intuitsgopay. At least that I know of. I am using squareup.
 
Tom I'm getting an I phone this week just for squareup, I may not get an I phone, but I'm going to get one that's compatible with Square. I have a nice unit at the shop, but it's a pain to have to key in transactions when I get back to the shop if I write hard copies, They said my VeriFone card terminal can be set to swipe and store when at shows, but you don't know if the card is good or stolen, and won't until you plug in and run a batch. the Squareup is the way to go and I can't wait.
 
The store and forward is another reason I am ditching my card terminal. I am excited about the square up. Please don't let me down.
 
Squareup is the way to go! Cheap fees, can send a photo with your receipt to your customer on the spot (good for resales next year because they have an email with the photo of your work and contact info!)

Just got one in December and I love it....

We got Iphones and 2 square readers for my wife and I. We also have a plant nursery, my wife will be using it to do customers without having to go to the office in front and we also use them at shows. We have only used them at one show so far, since the 2 last shows last year there was no reception to use them (big downfall). We also found that it takes several swipes to get the reader to read, we are still trying to find the perfect way to do that.
