Craftsmen 15" 2 HP Lathe Guidance Needed

I am looking at a used lathe for sale for $350 and I know these have a bad reputation of chewing belts. I also noticed sears want rediculous $$ for the belts. Does anyone have this lathe and what have you done to deal with belt replacement? Also any general thoughts on the lathe as far as durability or quality would be welcome.

I'll say that if you have a v belt pulley setup, I go with the segmented belt material from Harbor Freight, also Woodcraft, as well as Rockler. I got mine from grainger and put it on my table saw and drill press. On the saw, it took out all that thumping at startup. We use it on machines at work and it been on them for over 40 years and still running.
