Hello everyone,
I bid on an auction the other day and ended up winning. Won't say the price but I paid well under half of what the Sorby handle is worth.

Anyway, I'm still looking up information on these items.

#1 appears to be a Sorby Teardrop Hollower modified by Paul Crabtree into one of his Hollowing King tools. I found some videos on Youtube on how to use it. Looking forward to using this.

#2 is very interesting and certainly worth hanging on a wall somewhere. In the auction photos, it was just listed as a lathe tool. But when I picked it up, I saw that the handle was signed by Ted Bartholomew. I did some digging and found that Ted turned until the age of 90 and he passed away in 2015. He made his own lathes and tools and has bowls all over the world.

I "think" this tool I have is one of his custom tools made from a barrel of a rifle. If so, I think it's a pretty neat find. I am going to contact the South Puget Sound Woodturners and see if they might like to have this to display.
