The process takes several days and is very labor intensive but the end result is very satisfying. If you notice I did a stepped pattern on the bottom and a staggered pattern on the top. This pen was just a test to see what each effect looked like. I think my first issue is making all of the segments even. Going to have to make a jig on the bandsaw specifically for this I think. I think I might aim for a bowl in the future. Manny
