Greetings!
My twin boys play ball for the CoulOak Cobras Little League team, and are raising funds for a summer tournament at the Cooperstown, NY Dreams Park, for a once-in-a-lifetime experience for their players.
The Cooperstown Dreams Park mission and goal is to promote a high caliber of play and allow young players to experience the purity of baseball as it was meant to be. By stepping up to the plate, regardless of outcome, players will leave with a sense of pride, dignity and accomplishment for having participated and becoming a part of history. The Dreams Park is a place in time where the players are their own heroes.
The Cooperstown Tournament is a week-long tournament in which over 100 teams from across the U.S. and Canada compete. All players and coaches spend the week living and playing baseball at the 22-field Dreams Park Village complex. The teams play a minimum of seven games (weather permitting). An opening ceremony includes skydivers, a skills competition and other festivities for players, coaches and their families. At the closing ceremony, each player, coach and umpire is individually recognized and inducted into the American Youth Baseball Hall of Fame.
The first of several fundraising campaigns will start today with the CoulOak Little League 3rd annual 100-Inning Game, and they are seeking pledges for their participation. If you care to learn more about this experience and fundraising campaign, please check out the link below.
