I love living in sunny southern California. Always have - except for the last few days. At 6pm, the thermometer in the shade on our patio was 116F! It's down to the 90's now. Might hit 80 before midnight. Tomorrow is supposed to be a tad warmer.

Maybe someone could send some of this heat back to the flooded areas and let us have some of that "excess" water.

And now that I think about it all, I'll just quit complaining about the heat and pray for all those back toward the eastern states where all that flooding was last week. Hope you're all okay.

Yeah, but what's the humidity level? Now, 116 is HOT, don't get me wrong, but I'll trade 116 with zero humidity ANY DAY for 99 degrees and 96 percent humidity.

Y'all bake 'em out West! Down South, we just boil 'em!

It was a chilly 102F today in South Sacramento. Official High was 99F. I was going to take the AC out of the window in shop this week, think I will wait.

No fog, it was 92 today and nice to have some heat for a change. It won't last long, but is has been nice being outside, feeling the sun on my skin and working in the garden. Glad it isn't as hot as you Cathy. I am lucky to have the ocean breeze to keep it bearable, plus it cools off at night.

Well it's a perfect 65 outside right now. Hopefully it'll stay like this for a while. Trying to make up for a really hot summer, where it was over 100 for a month and a half, then add 95% humidity to that.
