Billy the section of mammoth tusk is about 4 inches wide.

Buzzz4 thats the direction I'm headed in. If I can get the colors from the elements to freeze and get a trunable end product this is going to make some stunning blanks!!! Any hints would be welcome and appreciate! The weather up here is awful for casting but I plan on building a hot box. I have a pressure pot and we are looking at a vacume system. Just have some McGiver work to do and we'll see what we get.

My pressure pot is a piece of 2" pipe with a cap on the end and a bunch of reducers down to a compressor fitting. I don't need a regulator or gauge because the compressor has them and if anything leaks it's still hooked up. I only pressurize up to 90 pounds because the water filter is rated for that.

That is a awesome Idea DC!!!! Way to think outside the box! I got mine at a yard sale for 5 bucks! I also got a compressor out of an old fridge I hope to be able to do a vacume with......but I am havin some trouble wiring it up, it has what appears to be an oiler on it as well?

For now my set up is very much like yours.
