My first car was a 1937 Dodge convertible that I bought for $150.00 in 1954 and I haven't owned one since but have always wanted another one. Last week LOML and I spotted a 2007 Beetle convertible for sale and we just had to have it. LOML has claimed it as her car and of course being a convertible it gets the garage but she was gracious enough to offer me the other half for my BMW. Kind of hard to park it between the TS,BS DP and etc though.

I'm sure if you ask nicely, she'll let you wash it and pump the gas. I've been wanting a convertible. I found a 63 Caddy ragtop in a field and asked about it. He wanted $5000.00. That was 9 years ago and it's still sitting there. It just screams "blower motor" to me.

Sweet ride! We had a '68 beetle rag top back in '68. LOML has wanted another rag top ever since. She finally got her wish last Aug when I bought her a '99 Mazda Miata rag top. It's kinda like driving a go kart!

Good luck

My bride drove a 2007 VW New Beetle Convertible for 4 years. She now has a 2010 "Final Edition" limited edition that she bought new in 2011. She got the converitble bug in 1997 when she was 53 years old and has had it ever since....don't be surprised if your wife decides she needs flower decals (in my case it is "snoopy" and daisies) or something to make the car "me"..... btw we live in a small village of maybe 3500 people and I swear every single one of them knows my wife's car.

Convertibles are a bunch of fun. I have a '93 Cadillac Allante and Cathy has a Smart Cabrio. Sadly, we almost never have an opportunity to drive them now that we have kids.
