Hi all, just turned a couple bullet pens with brand new bushings and was less than happy with the fit. After turning several hundred pens you'd think I'd learn but am passing on a lesson hard-learned. This is not a complaint, but more of a self-kick in the rear. I just put a digital caliper on three identical but different finish bullet pens. Here's my results..
PKCP8000 Gold nib end .4750 finial end .4695

This is my way of trying to help newer turners with saving a ton of frustration. From here on I will not skip using the calipers because I might be in a hurry
