I was contacted by a church member at First Baptist Church in Temple, Texas. Their sanctuary was intentionally burned down on January 19, 2010. He was able to salvage some pieces of a window frame, not knowing what he was going to do with them. Until he talked to a mutual friend that told him of my addiction.

The sanctuary was built in 1939 and the wood appears to be pine, except he requested the wood be stained dark, like the color he remembers the windows being.

It was an honor to make these for him and he will be presenting these to the church staff and pastors.

Very nice. I love reclaiming stuff that has meaning. I made a mirror from an old original window frame that came out of our cottage years ago.

They certainly are a very nice group of pens, and I'll bet it was fun making them realizing where the wood came from and who the pens were going to.

Great pens. Nice job on keeping the design all looking the same. I like the shape of the pens. I am sure they will love every one of them.
