Coming up with my own names for corian

I have some scrap with the name on the edge or the back. Some of it does not have any markings. I do not know if it is Avonite, Staron or Corian (the pictures on the websites all look the same). My question is: Can I make up a name for my records incase the customer wants another one?

I would take a photo of both the raw piece and the finished pen. You can certainly make up names like "Daytona Beach", "Gray Granite", "Lava", or others... Whatever suits your fancy.

With so many colors and patterns you have a job of work. You might want to use a number along with your made up name. Corian itself is a trademark and many sellers seem to use the term 'hard surface' to describe it unless they know that it is Corian.

I think the generic term that I've see is "solid surface" material.... Then if you want to make it more specific, I'd say to keep it generic color.... eg: "a bright blue solid surface inlay".. To me that makes more sense than worrying about what brand and color name it is.
