Yes, blanks have feelings (Blah Blank Blues) - sometimes sleep-disturbing feelings - mostly neglect - but not beyond the reach of color therapy.

Steps:
Face it: ordinary blank, bought along with a bundle, extreme pizazz deficit disorder, associated blues.
Turn, sand to 600 grit.
Brush on Jacquard Dye-na-flow dye colors.
Heat fix carefully with a heat gun at 300-400 degrees while spinning (maybe optional, but this is how it is done on other surfaces).
Lightly brush and finger rub on some Jacquard Lumiere (pearlescent) paint, blow dry on warm (not hot) setting.
CA finish, assemble as usual:

Love it!!!! But as a klutz, the lathe and me would be similarly decorated.

The world is full of blah blanks looking for splashes of color.

The look is wonderful, and the process sounds straightforward - I appreciate the explanation!

I suspect the blank likes his/her "make-over.":beauty:

Many thanks, Ken, Charlie, Wally, Mal, and Mark!

Mark - yes - the blank likes its makeover! (may need a botanist to figure out the blank's gender - couldn't tell from its initial blank stare).

A Glorious Psychedelic Vision, Bob,
Without any Direct Physical or Chemical Stimuli. WOW.
Great Explanation of the necessary Procedural Steps and Materials.
Your Effort and Output is Incredible.
Do you get much of an opportunity to sleep?
Excellent Fit, Finish and Profile of the Slimline Stylus Pen.
Congratulations,
Brian.

:smile:Many thanks, Brian!

I've been obsessed with color and color harmony for the longest time - and enjoyed bumping the colors towards "psychedelic" for this forlorn blank - it will never be the same (but it thankfully remains more functional than some of Timothy Leary's followers)
