Does anyone have a Turquoise recipe they would not mind sharing? I have been trying to get a nice light bluish greenish but keeps coming up with....... lets just say not what I am looking for. If you have one you would not mind sharing it would be appreciated.

If it matters I am using Alumilite.

Hey Chris
You must use dyes made for polyurethane.
I only use Alumilite dyes
Now there may be some argument from someone, but, there is a time to be cheap and a time not to. If you use what a manufacturer recomends for the product, then there shouldn't be problems.

When you add white dye to a dark color, it takes a lot to overcome the dark.

Before I added the white(just blue & green) it was a real dark turquoisey look. It took about 16 drops of white to get the color shown.

Thanks, Gary

Have you looked in my Resin Color Library ?

ATM it's short on alumilite recipes, but if you find a recipe that only uses powdered pigments it should be compatible with PR or alumilite.

Well here's my first attempt after getting some Allumilite White Pigment in. I made a white resin and added blue until I got it blue enough then started slowly adding green until I get here. Looks like I could stand to add a little more of each to get a richer color to match the stone I was using, but it's a start.

I'm pretty lazy, so when I want a turquoise-colored blank I just use turquoise-colored pearl ex.

I have that color but it was not what I was looking for. The Blue-Green Duo is closer to what I wanted and will use when I want it w/ swirls but I was looking for a flat color.
