collet chucks

Has anyone used the Turners Collet Chuck at Woodcraft? I don't know if they are er-32 collets, but with 8 supplied, does it really matter?

How about the set at PSI?

I want to get a collet chuck set, but don't have the cash to buy the Beall system.

If you want to get the most out of your Collet Chuck set DO NOT but the set from Woodcraft, this is the advice that I was given here. There are members who sell them here and you can save by purchasing from them and get only what you can afford now and add as you want or need to.
I just did a search for Collet chucks and there were some interesting comments that you might want to read, but Randy did post that the PSI unit looked similar to the Beall and at half of the cost. Take a look and see what you think. I hope that this helps some.

The Beall set is on sale at Hartville Tool for $139.95 ($20 off), plus free shipping. I received mine today and used it to turn five blanks using a Colazzo mandrel. What an improvement over the PSI adjustable mandrel! Runout seems to be nil. The nice round chuck doesn't threaten to whack your nuckles, either [8D]
