Got a little shop time yesterday, and made a few Christmas presents for friends. This one is a Cocobolo that had a big knot in the end. The knot was dry, and parts of it had already fallen out before I started turning. I had to drill really carefully, and managed to get the tube in properly. But when I turned it, the knot proved to be too weak to make it. So, I filled the void with some sawdust and CA. It came out pretty well. I left the finish on this one relatively normal - only CA in the void. Pic was taken before a coat of TSW, which really made it look nice.
