For a closed end rollerball, how deep to I drill the pen barrel for the spring to go in the bottom? oops..Jr Gent II, thank you!

my paper says 2.750 inches with 27/64 drill bit.

Thanks...I'll just drive on over to grand rapids and have you drill it and turn it for me!
