Closed end Pen mandrel question?

I really want to try a closed end pen and I'm wondering if you guys buy a mandrel for it or make your own some how? Any help is greatly appreciated on how it is done. Thanks

I use transfer punches from Harbor Freight to make a pin chuck. Hold them in my collet chuck.

I bought my closed end mandrels from FANGAR (James Mann) for the Jr. Gents, and the Baron. I made one for the 7mm pens from an old 7mm mandrel and a nail.

Yea...I just bought mine from Arizona Silhouette. I know no fun.

You can use an adjustable pen mandrel for this job as well. Another resource is the tutorial listed in my signature. I use an adjustable mandrel and that tutorial will show you how!
