As I have gotten older I find I have need for some magnification. I was going to get a magnifer headset from Woodcraft, but doing the research and testing a pair, I found you needed to be about 6-10" from the item! A chiesal and 1800 rpm lathe... I don't think that was a good idea.
More research I found loupes used by Denistry. Well, at first it seemed they were $1000-2000
But I came across some from China on Sleazbay for $61. The field of sight is about 19-22". More research and opinions, I found these would not be good for a dentist wearing them 4-6 hours/day all the time, but they just might be fine for my need to do that detail work from time-to-time. Bottom line, I made an offer of $45 and they accepted. It will take 4 weeks to get here but thats OK.
I will follow-up when I get them with a review.
