I am not a big fan of acrylics, but I picked up 2 off cuts Inlace Acrylester Copper from another pen turner that was about to turf them. Always wanted to try and combine acrylics and wood. The copper foil I used was a piece left over from an embossing my dad did in 1974 that I resized for my sister a few months ago. It just all came together in my head. The wood is African Blackwood, one of my favorite woods to work with, but a little bland if it has no sapwood. My dad, who passed away in 1976, had huge hands, so I made a fat pen. He was the most creative person I have ever known.

Hope you like it.

I think you "hit it out of the park!" The material used really compliments each other and the shape is a nice change. I'm not a big fan of slims and usually change them to comfort size with some meat in the middle too. Nice work!
