OK, in process of assembly of several click bullet pens. Being very careful with all the parts, are there are several and following directions to the tee, have put three together and problems. All pens will click the refill out, but it takes two or three clicks to get refill to return inside of pen. Have checked to make sure refills are not hanging in the bullet portion, they all go in and out very smoothly, no hang ups here. Have stretched the refill spring slightly on one just to see if this was problem, nope still same problem. No burrs or any thing on top side of refill to hang. Any one run into this problem. One of these pens will work threee or four times in a row just great then problem pops up again and refill will not return into pen. About to forget the push button bullet pen and stick to the reliable twist ones!!!!

Problems like that I've had with the tube being shaved a little too much and getting the insert too deep in the tube because of it. Measure the tube before and after and maybe you can gauge what you need to do to make it better.

Thanks for the input but as I said in my post this is one fo the first things I checked was to make sure the problem was NOT in the nib area, and additonal note is that my tubes were NOT shortened as well.

UPDATE UPDATE OK guys and gals here we go. Checked everything over again and found one refill that looked a little strange at the top so changed it out and pen works now. Checked the others for about the third time nothing reassemblied and now all three are working. I think the problem is that the plastic parts of the click portion may have to be operated a few times 50 or so to break thiem in so they operate. Only thing I can come up with. Maybe a little tight when new or slight burr on them that has to work its way off.

John: Since your problem went away, my input is likely irrelevant, but when this same thing has happened to me, as often as not I have put the spring onto the refill upside down.

Just FYI.

It should also be noted that there are at least three different types of click bullet pens being sold. Knowing which one we are talking about could make a difference.
