Clear finish on brass

I have applied a decal on a brass rifle cartridge, and I was wondering if anyone has had any luck using a ca finish, or some other type of finish to protect the decal. Thanks

Jim,
I used CA on a plastic blank that I put a decal on and it worked fine. The worst part I had was keeping the decal from rolling up when putting it on the blank.

Thanks Eric, I'll give it a shot, and let you know what it looks like.

The one time I tried CA on a rifle cartridge, the results were not pretty. I would recommend powder-coat if you think the decal can withstand the heat, or brass lacquer (not to be confused with wood lacquer) if not.

I tried a CA finish on a 50 cal. cartrige once... Like Eric said, NOT pretty.

But give it a try and let us know what happens.
