Well this Sunday the weather was so nice outside I turned a pen, then decided it was time to clean up the shop. We moved a pile of wood from the corner and the dust from my lathe shavings was pretty thick. Swept it up and moved the wood pile. Straightened up the main work bench and moved things around. Hopefully I can find them now when I look for them lol. One of these days I will get me one of those fancy collection things  I did rearrange things a little as well. I thought about curtains, but they would only get dingy. I might have to look into getting some black film to cover the windows or something to help darken the windows. I think I might post a picture of the shop tonight if I think about it.

I was afraid you were going to say your newly turned pen got caught up in the cleaning frenzy (which is why I RARELY clean my shop), and was never to be seen again:eek: Apparently everything worked out all right in spite of the suspect behavior:wink: Happy turning!

Ok as promised here are the pictures. The stuff on the table saw is my best friend Larry's casting stuff and pot. I took these before turning something this morning.

Looks Nice! I do some cleaning through the year but I try to do a big cleaning twice a year.once in the spring before it gets to hot and then in the fall before the winter hits.

Too clean Todd get to work and make it dirty again. LOML tells me that I have too many tools and that is why I have no room.

I wait to clean until I loose either a tool or a pen in the shavings. Then I am forced to clean up to find the lost item. My LOML tends to disagree with this line of thought, however.
