I made a pen with M12x0.75 threads using black ebonite for the cap/barrel connection.

I buffed it using the Beall system (tripoli compound, white diamond compound, carnauba wax) and now have white gunk trapped in the threads!

I tried a toothbrush and DNA, but that doesn't seem to move it; is there a good way to clean this stuff off that is safe to use on ebonite (and the epoxy that is holding the ebonite plugs in the lignum vitae)?

Thanks!

Run the Tap/Die down them with your favorate oil and go slow.
