I took a class out in Utah at the Craft Supplies USA site. It was a great week and we had a blast turning all day long for 5 days. Came away with some great pieces. It was a beginners class with Dale Nish.

I enjoyed the tool panel they used at each station and they sent the basic plans home with each of us. I emailed them and asked permission to post the plans on IAP in .pdf format. They supplied me with the .pdf and the permission to do so in email form.

So here it is. I adapted it to meet my needs and have supplied a photo of my tool panel.

Enjoy

I think I would add some magnets to each position that holds turning tool. Then if it gets bumped they won't fall out. Any chance that magnets would harm the tools?

I like the adaption of the plate to the third shelf. Instead of drilling the shelf out, add the base plate to hold the tools handle. That was a great idea. It makes it much easier to reconfigure in the future.

Thanks. Glad to contribute. I've gotten so much out of this site. The magnets are a great idea. I would like to know too if the magnetism would do anything.
