Well, well...! seems like our friend Bob as exceed many members expectations not that I'm that surprised as I have been "dealing" with Bob for some time now...!

He certainly is "cluey" about woods species and he had shown woods I didn't know he had but again, that is not much of a surprise as he gets them for everywhere...!

I now know that he can also "hold his own" when it comes to these type of challenges, they are always a lot more work than some may imagine but, the end result was supreme and as such, I congratulate Bob...!:wink:

Wood identification is a extremely extensive and complex world, I have know people that dedicated all they life's to the issue, that died of old age not knowing half of what is out there so, any attempt and or sharing of such wonderful issue with anyone interested, is always a positive thing, in my books...!

There is nothing knew that most know I dedicate a large part of my present life to the issue and utilisation of such special natural resource, some are more fortunate than others with what is around them however, many have surprised themselves when they started looking...!

Anyway, I'm pleased that Bob did turn out a great an valued addition to IAP, I hope we can all count on him, for years to come, as I'm also very pleased with the contribution/participation every made, towards the challenge success, so congrats to everyone...!:biggrin:

Believe it or not I do remember reading on Wiki about this very tree that you are asking me, trouble is I will have to go through all the US ones to find out which one.

I have a feeling that it is the American Pepper tree, but not sure.
