Don't recall seeing eucalyptus wood before. Interesting grain. Finish used? And thanks for sharing the photo.
Sanded to 800, then the 3 stages of Dr. Kirk's micro mesh, then 3 coats of Pens Plus.
The Eucalyptus Burl I came across from Etsy. Had a customer request a Burl pen, and didn't have anything ready. Once I saw it I was piqued. Got a 2" thick slice that was about 14"x18". This is the second pen from it now. Turning it, it's a little "chalky" would be my best description. Could definitely use some Cactus Juice stabilizer, but I'm not equipped, so I pressure potted with epoxy. Smell is very much eucalyptus. The Burl itself is from Australia somewhere.

Man I need to get my hands on some of that wood, that's beautiful!
Puts a real interesting smell in your shop. Reminded me of having a cold when I was a kid lol.
