I made my first Churchill, i like this design. With the help here on board, it was easy to assembly. Wood is stabilized box elder burl. Finish, Sanding sealer-Danish oil- Carnauba wax.
Thanks for the tips

harry, that looks a very nice pen and blank, but please let go of the prop. just my way of thinking.

the photo should be sharper, but i have a cheap camera. The finish does'nt hold up for a long time, but the customer can easy refresh it with any oil. I think it's more natural than CA or lacquer, at least on wood. I have no experience on CA, today i tried it first time and was frustrated, something did'nt function. The surface was gluey. Perhaps i used to much Danish oil or made anything else wrong. Perhaps it was the wood ( thuja burl, difficult to finish). I will be an optimist and try the CA soon again....

I use danish oil on my general turning and woodworking! Have to say i like the way it finishes, really shows up the grain and any figuring!

Just wish it didnt lose its effect so quickly!
