Got a gift for the shop that makes pen making more enjoyable - a new radio and speakers. Sure sounds good.

No music in my shop...can't spare the power for it as I only have two 110v circuits for the tiny garage I'm currently using. One is usually powering my shopvac and the other powers whatever else I need. That garage sucks!
Wait ... I thought drilling is supposed to be boring.... ?
(as in boring the hole ....)
ok, nobody got it.
I have a radio tuned to an "oldies" station. By "oldies", they're playing stuff from the 1980's. Not oldies, IMNSHO. It's not turned up terribly loud and once the dust collector is turned on, impossible to hear. But when the machinery is off, and you're either setting up or cleaning up, I find it helpful.
I usually listen to books while turning. The right material can make even boring drilling (yes, I did say that) all day bearable. Music is good, too.
