Christmas gift idea

Here's something different:

Overall length is 11", handle is 4" x 3/4" at the widest point. Shown with a cigar pen for size comparison. The red blank is acrylic poured by Dawn Dodd, aka Winpooh498. Thanks Dawn! The whisk is from a cheap set of 3 at Walmart. Remove their white pvc handle and epoxy the whisk into something nicer.

I saw the article in the magazine and was going to make one (when I get caught up! LOL) [] I am glad that you are enjoying the blanks. Hope you enjoy the box you are getting.

The wire used in the magazine article was $17, and was enough to make 4 whisks. So I went to Walmart and bought a pack of 3 whisks for four or five dollars. Their "handles" were made by wrapping with wire and dipping in white PVC, so it was easy to remove them. I only drilled one hole, about 1/4" dia, not 12 like the magazine article approach required.
