Chittum Burl / Smoketree Burl score

Hi all,

Chittum burl is one of my favorite woods to work with and I was able to get a large piece last week. Could have a few more eyes but the figure and chatoyance will be great once cut up and finished.

An amazing piece, nevertheless...!

I'm trying to remember a wood species that we have here in Australia that has that same colourations, bark, sapwood and heartwood, I never seen a burl on it but, is possible that are some out there...!

OK, I new I had a small piece in the "lolly-shop" someone brought that is in a visit years ago, I just can't remember who those persons where (2 of them), they said that was local to them...!

Anyway, and as you can see, very identical, I only wish that I had some near me...!:frown:

Robert, what kind of size are we looking at please?

Is it 12"x12"x15'(just kidding), but it is hard to know without anything to 'gauge it against'.

The wood is 2x2x6
