chestnut wood

I don't know where to post this. I am looking for some chestnut wood to make a few pens. My wifes maiden name is chestnut and she dosen't know I am looking for chestnut wood.

Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

I have an American Chestnut tree in my yard and I had to remove a limb a couple of years back. Let me see if I have some in my shop. I'll let you know by PM tomorrow if I do.

Thank you for the reply. My wife is from South, Carolina and she will be stunned when she sees a pen made from her maiden name Chestnut. I am going in for total knee replacement Monday so I will be away from the computer for about a week.

I have some antique chestnut from a house built a couple hundred years ago if you need some. I'm also stabilizing some of it for pen blanks in another week or two.
