I am making a 95th birthday present for my wife's great grandmother. She has lived in Yakima, WA for something like 65+ years, so I would like to get some wood from that area, if possible.

If I can't find some local wood, she also likes chestnut. I would be interested in some of that as well.

Ideally, I would like 1-2 3/4" blanks in one or the other. I am interested in buying or trading for them.

If someone happens to have some larger stock of most anything (3-6" blanks), I am interested getting some of those at the same time.

I have some spalted Horse Chestnut that just started drying (taken from an ancient tree that was in St. Peter's church in Philly). When's her birthday? I don't expect this to be ready before the Spring at the earliest.

think i have some wormy chestnut at home that is very dry not sure of the age but was told it was about 75 years or so old i will check when i get home from work pm if this will help.
