I'm a member of an AAW club up in Concord. I've attended one Charlotte club meeting, but know a bunch of the folks in the club. Many are members of both.

They are nice folks
My wife and I have attended two of their meetings during the last 18 months. They will make you welcome. The 200 mile round trip on Thursday nights makes it only a special trip. Get on their e-mail list, they will send you announcements even if you aren't a member.

200 miles is impressive! You are correct about them making you feel welcome. I've found that to be true of all the AAW chapters in the area (Hickory, Charlotte, Waxhaw, and Concord). Like I told Darryl in the PM... good people wanting to have fun turning stuff.
