I have the Rockler Exaliber lathe and I messed up the belt. I have never changed a belt. So I gave it a shot. I removed all the allen screws, and tired to remove the hand wheel. I got a drift and started pounding. Its not working and well my aim isnt very good.

Do you have any suggestions on how to do this? Do I just keep pounding? Where could I take it to have them do it? I mean the whole tower comes off. Could I take it to some kind of machine shop and have it done?

Any help you could give me would be appreciated!!!:at-wits-end:

Tim, IF in fact it is reverse threaded, then just imagine how tight it is now after all of Michael's hammering?

Michael ... immediately try to hammer on it in reverse as Tim has suggested! Then if all that doesn't help you any you might want to contact the manufacturer for ideas!

Good luck to you on this. Keep us updated as to the outcome!
