Certificate

I have seen (somewhere) a certificate that started: This certificate verifies the authenticity of the acompanying handcrafted pen. The Artist's signature
attests that he/she has personally crafted, finished...etc......

I include a "pen profile" sheet with every pen I sell. This is a color printout that includes my logo and company name as a header. I then have the descriptive name of the pen and a side view photo of the actual pen. I include an artful description of the pen including materials and platings. If wood, I try include a brief discussion of where the wood is natively found and any interesting or unusual facts about the wood. I always mention how I hand crafted the material on my basement lathe to the correct size and shape and how I finish the material. I also mention the type of high-quality refill I include and how to access the refill for change.

Next comes a paragraph on how to care for the pen and specifically what not to do (leave it in a hot or cold car or in sunlight, etc.). Next is my satisfaction guarantee followed by my warranty. At the bottom is my contact info and the pen serial number.

That sir sounds like a LOT of work! The 'card' must be huge to get all that information on it? Would love to see a photo of one, if you ever get a chance to post......please?

I don't have anything like that Phillip, sorry. Unfortunately, I don't do a lot of selling where the pen is being mailed...

I use a letter size paper with my letter head for the Certificate of Authenticity of the wood or historical value of the writing instrument.
