I tend to make do with whatever is within arms reach. I also tend to save things thinking they will be good for somethiing someday .... often they never are, but in this case this little piece of scrap aluminum has worked out very well. :smile:
very easy to do ... Parts cut on a slide compound saw (I like to back the aluminum up with wood) but you could use a hacksaw or jigsaw. I just CA glued the two pieces together.

I've got some scraps like that laying around. Too bad I just had a beer...shop off limits now but their tommorrow morning....Thanks for the idea....

Vic, that is one of the smartest statements I have ever read here. There have been many, very many intelligent and brilliant things put forward here, but that is one very smart thing to do. Congratulations.
