Cedar Lidded Box with Finial

Here is my second try at doing a finial. It is a cedar lidded box and has a purpleheart finial. It turned out pretty well. Finished with Antique Oil and buffed. 5" tall with finial and 2 7/8" across. The next finial I do for a lidded box is going to be a cross out of ebony.

Looks Great Bernie. You Know I have always wanted to turn these small boxes and sud also bowls so I think I will have to put that on my list. I will start learning how to do that after I Master pen turning, finish remodeling my shop, finish remodeling the house, finish the customers orders I have for Dining room tables(3) and chairs (20), finish my display cases, and get to the point where I can retire from my 60 hour a week job[]

Thanks. I appreciate it. Rob I understand the 60 hr. a week job. 1 yr. and 7 months I will give it up. I am getting to old to do a lot of travel which I do now and putting in 60 hrs. on top of that.
