I've had these in my cart for several days now, and now Caswell sent me a 5% off coupon!
String Buff - Caswell Inc

So, my question is, are they any good? I am thinking of getting the small plastic polishing kit, which includes a string buff and P-22 Plastic Glo compound; and getting another string buff and p-112 plastic polishing compound. Does anyone have any experience with these buffs? Or should I get flannel buffs instead?

Yes, I have a set up for wood and a set up for acrylic, I have the string wheels set up for the acrylic, works well, at least for me

I have used a Beall buffing setup for awhile and recently went with the canton flannel wheels and blue buffing bar from Caswell. They stepped the finish up a notch for me, but I have never tried the string buff wheels.

Thanks, gimpy, for your input. Does anyone else have experience with the string buffs? Are they more gentle than a flannel buff?
