Currently turning a casein blank and notice it appears to attract dirt, fingerprints or anything it comes into contact with. Looks like I will need to CA finish to seal, what have others used on this material??
Thanks in advance,
JD

Same here.. just a high polish. Once it is polished, it doesn't mark up like it
does before you're done. I put a little Ren wax on it for fingerprints, but
the gloss alone will tend to keep the dirt out.

Before I finished sanding, I was positive I'd have to coat it in something, but
that hasn't turned out to be the case.

No finish, wet sand with M&M to 12000, Brasso,Mequires scratch remover,Mequires Plastic polish, the a coat of TSW.

Thank you all. Roy described my normal finishing process. Now who's brave enough to put one of these $15 blanks in grape juice and start the next new craze, pinstripe purple??

I wonder if it would work.. I understand that it dyes well, but that's before
it's stabilized and preserved in formaldehyde. Perhaps a dye with ammonia would
tint it?
