ALL HAVE BEEN SOLD.

I scored another great deal buying carbide inserts at an auction.
I'm keeping what I need and selling the rest. First offering is here at IAP, and if any are left they will go on eBay. The second picture is the box they came in but you will not receive a box.

These are new carbide planer knives (inserts) which many folks use to make their own carbide turning tools. The inserts are made by Tigra in Germany and the grade is T10MG, Micro-Grain Grade Carbide for Hardwood / Softwood. There is no radius or curve to them, they are perfectly square, and meet at a sharp square corner. They are 15mm by 15mm, 2.5mm thick, and the thru hole is 6.3mm. The top is countersunk. The bevel angle is approximately 30 degrees. The edge is very sharp.

A while back I sold a similar insert for $4.50 ea - a decent price. But I'm selling these for only $2.80 ea. because I was able to buy this batch for a very good price. Flat rate shipping will be $3.00 (any quantity) to US locations. Paypal or money order please. For buyers using Paypal, just send me your email address and I will send you a Paypal invoice, which you can just click on to pay. That reduces the chance of some mix up and you sending money to the wrong account (it has happened :befuddled:).

I would love to pick up some round inserts but they are difficult to find in the micro grain form suitable for wood working. No luck so far.

I do not own any of the commercially available carbide turning tools so I have no way of knowing which tools these might fit. Please meaure your tool to be sure.

I have not purchased/used Global tooling inserts so I can not compare their quality. I believe the ones I have were made by Tigra in Germany,
TIGRA - Tools cut better with TIGRA: Home
but the box is not marked so I can not be totally sure.

Thanks for the info on round inserts.
than Global Tooling Inserts?

Global tooling has at least one round size ...

Double Back Out Knife - 11mm Diameter x 4mm Thick x 5.1mm Hole

Carbide Depot has round ones (I think)
Wood Turning Inserts - Carbi-Universal

As of now all inserts have been spoken for. If someone should happen to back out I will offer their inserts to the next person in line according to the date/time of their request. Everyone who sent me a PM will receive a personal reply from me with either a Paypal invoice, or indication that they are on a waiting list for possible cancellations.

It is Sunday and I have relatives visiting today, so I'm not sure when I will be able to get back to all of you. Thanks very much.

Invoice has been sent

A paypal invoice has been sent to everyone that was soon enough in line to get some of these inserts.

To those who were a bit too late, I have also sent you a PM explaining that fact. You will be kept on a waiting list in case one of the buyers decides to back out.

I do not have any more of these inserts. I am always checking auctions and such for things I need and if I find some more inserts I will try to offer them here first. The demand for these significantly exceeded the quantity I had for sale.

Thanks very much to all.
