[?] I have all but given up on the CA finish and am still using friction polish and we all know how that is after a few weeks.Thats the main reason I haven't posted any pics of the pen mats that Lyle was nice enough to send me. Thanx again Lyle.

So I decided to try the plexi finish but seem to have something seriously wrong. It turns out like silicone , it never hardens comepletely.

What do I do now, someone point me in a direction, any direction, I'm LOst....[xx(]

Or Enduro?

I've also been using enduro lately and have been pretty happy.
I have been applying with a very soft artists brush about 1'2"wide. I bought the two oz bottle from beartooth and just squeeze about a teaspoon into a small cup and apply with the lathe running on the slowest speed.
3 to 4 coats and then go right to the MM. It just takes a while to finish the whole process. I usually wait a full two days after the last coat before sanding.

I let my Enduro cure anywhere between 2 days to a week, depending on the temp. in my garage.

Boo, you might not be using the correct plexiglas. THe stuff you need should turn the acetone milky as soon as you add it to your plexi and the plexi should disolve completely in a couple of days. The wrong kind just kind-of melts into a semi-solid mass.

The mixture I use is just thick enough for a drop on a paper towel to retain its shape for a couple of seconds before it is absorbed.
