$75. Bearings (Oilite bronze bushings) are perfect. It's grungy but no rust. Even has an index head.

I picked it up with the intention of cleaning it up and (hopefully) selling it. Since I'm not working, my time is cheap.

But, I kinda like it. Sigh.

No, I'll be good. It only has a 9" swing, and MT1 head and tailstock. My Rikon is far superior. But this circa 1939-41 lathe is so cool!

Don that is the exact same lathe I use to turn my pens on. I have found it accurate and with the divorced motor plenty of power. My only complaint is when you move the tail stock in you can push the spindle against the head if not adjusted properly and will get hot. I would love to find someone to bore out my bushings and add bearings!!! If you have any questions just holler.

I'd love to find one like that. I met a gent this weekend who uses a 1941 Monkey Wards for spindles and canes. Vibration free, real workhorse, Great find.
