I think that is what they still are called:smile: I am thinking of getting one of these but have no idea what is a good one and what to look for. I probably would like to use it both indoors and out. Maybe make a video in the shop or two. Also use it for recording sporting events. What is a good brand, what is a good size, and what is a good price. Is there length of time limits on recording and how much is enough?? Can the video eventually be copied to a flash drive or does it have to be copied to a dvd disc. Would be looking to send copies other than computer. Looking for hard copy. I see many tv stars and athletes carrying around small camcorders that fit in the palm of their hands. A little insight into what to look for would be great. Thanks in advance. A newbie in this area.

Check out the GoPro stuff. My son (24 yr) has used his for skydiving, underwarter, kayaking, etc... I have not used it, but suspect it is a UTube tutorial week.

FWIW: Go Pro stock has taking a beating as they say there will be many more clones coming out in the future (2-5 years). For now, they are possibly the "top dog."

You might want to check out the Zoom Q2HD. I've got one that is a couple of years old and it has been an excellent purchase -- most pleased with it. The new one will record 64Gb on SD card. That's HUGE!

Here's one on ebay for $150. Great price, great equipment!-- and a buy it now - no waiting for the auction.

I'm running with a GoPro Hero 3 Silver....and now that the GoPro Hero 4's are on the market, you might be able to find some deals on the "3" series.
