Here are some Tru-stone pens I did this weekend from material obtained from Richard at RandBcrafts.
The first is White Buffalo on a Black-Ti Jr. Statesman
The second is Bloody Basin Red Jasper on a 22K Jr. Statesman
The third is Wild Horse Jasper on a gold Jr. Gent.
The fourth is Rhodonite on a chrome Jr. Gentlemen I series
The fifth is Charoite on a gold Jr. Gentlemen II and
The last is Chrysocolla on a chrome Sierra.
The only one which gave me a problem was the chaysocolla. It started out destined for a Jr. Gentlemen, but I got in a hurry and blew the short tube during drilling. Fortunately I was able to salvage the longer tube for the Sierra.
All were turned mostly with a carbide insert tool, with final finishing with a skew. Sanded with wet 400 sandpaper, micro mesh to 4000 then buffed with tripoli and white diamond.
Comments welcome... Thanks for looking.
