My fuel pump went out in my 2003 Tahoe last night. I want to change it myself is there anything I need to know before I do.

Not difficult at all. Just time consuming. And PLEASE, replace the fuel filter at the same time. The major reason for pump failure is the filter.

Word to the wise. Make sure you hook up the electrical connection and test that it works before you put the new one in the tank. Otherwise you may get to do it twice:biggrin:. Other than that it fairly easy. Hardest part will be the weight, as i'm sure it's full of gas. One last note is you should buy the whole assembly and not just the pump and strainer.
