I am going to jump out on a limb here and ask a question: Is CA the same as Super Glue. CYANOACRYLATE (CA) is the same chemical name given to Super Glue. I am curious if the CA sold for pen turning is equivalent to that sold in your everyday store (ie. is it thin, med or thick). Any info would be appreciated.

P.S. Sorry if this is a repeat question, but I found nothing on the search function.

It's the same glue, but there are varying grades of purity as with most refined chemicals. You will also find both thin and thicker in that sold at common outlets.

CA is Cyanoacrylate. But I wouldn't necessarily say it is the same as your average store-bought tube. I use both medium and thin. This is great for fine crack filling, stabilizing, and such. Medium is great for gluing tubes, finishing, gap filling, and such.

I believe the typical store-bought tube would be equivalent to the medium viscocity.
