Lets say I have a friend who dripped thin CA on his hand. No sticking together of fingers or anything.... its just there. If this person wanted to have something on hand next to their lathe to remove the CA quickly, what would it be? I know you can get debonder, but I think its pretty pricey. Will anything else work? Will anything remove the CA after it has dried? Thanks for any help you can provide..... to my friend that is.

According to the MSDS, E-Z Bond brand CA debonder is 100% acetone. Therefore, I'd expect plain acetone to work exactly the same.

Regards,
Eric

My E-Z Bond label indicates it's a mixture of acetone and nitromethane. I used to work in a chemical research lab, and handled tons of acetone, so I know what it smells like. Never worked with nitromethan to my knowledge, so I can't say that the other odor I'm picking up is that. But I am gonna go with the label and say E-Z Bond debonder in not 100% acetone.

The wire wheel will take it off.

LMAO!!! Not much will do it any quicker either!!!

I've found that any significant amount on my skin comes off pretty easily after an hour or 2, you can pretty much peel it off. Acetone will dry the heck out of your skin, so if you don't want your hand to be white, chapped and dry, just wait it out... Plus it's free!!!

I get all the CA off my hands once a week when I shower!

So you shower once a week........ whether you need it or not?????:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::laugh::laugh:
Chuck, you are lucky to live in civilized Tennessee. Here in good ol' KY, we had to pass a law that requires everyone to bathe at least once a year. It is still on the books from waaaaaayyyyyy back.
