Hi again
I noticed a crack in a pen body on the surface in the CA. It is not a crack in the wood only in The surface CA. I use 8-12 coats of this CA from woodcraft and sand from 400 to 2k plastic polish. The crack showed up about 3 weeks after assembly. It is in the middle of the blank and doesn't propagate to an end so it started mid blank.
1 is my CA layer too thin? Too thick?
2 how can I remedy this if at all?
I've almost had it with latent CA issues. Cracking, delamination, now having to dip the ends so they are sandable and flush for assembly so assembly pressure doesn't crack ends, constantly cleaning tubes from glue inside. Acrylic is just so much easier.
