I see everywhere discussion on the CA/BLO finish.
Why not Tung oil? Does it react differently with the CA glue?

According to what I have heard Russ tell folks, the Tung won't work because it does not react with the CA as a mild catalyst. Mind you, I am simply parroting info that I heard from Russ.
There's no reason you couldn't try it, though. Just beware that Tung and BLO are a spontaneous combustion hazard if you leave the rag laying around.

I tried Tung Oil because I did not have any BLO. I kept having problems getting it right. I bought some BLO and have been able to achieve a good finish. or....it could all be in my head.
