I had a heart attack Friday which landed me in the ER. A heart cath was done Saturday and it was determined that stents could not fix the blockages, So I am having bypass surgery tomorrow morning. Since both of my parents died due to complications following bypass surgery, I am a bit nervous. Please pray for me.

Went through a triple in '96. This ain't my ghost talkin ;). Keep a positive attitude, listen to (and look at) the nurses. Eat healthy exercise religiously. Turning is good therapy. Good Luck!!!!🙏

Paul,

My Prayers and from all of our members are with you. I've seen this, my sister at 49 now 82, my mother at 55 lived into her 90s, uncle at 53 till 83. It works! We are all here for you. Please keep us updated.

Paul - All the best wishes for very successful surgery and a speedy recovery and improvement in your health conditions ! ! !

My prayers are with you. I had a quintuple bypass four years ago and I feel good. You will be surprised at how well you will feel in a few weeks. There have also been many medical advancements in the last few years with this type of surgery such as wound care etc. that ensure a safer recovery.

Get well soon, Paul, and be encouraged as you read all the good wishes expressed here.
Let us know how you are faring, when you get the time.

Best wishes and buy a teddy bear !

Surgery has advanced so far in that field but understand you're nervous.

No kidding about the bear though - after surgery hug it when ever you feel the need to cough! Uncle thought I was joking, then he coughed and hugged it , much , much better ! He had that bear for a good 5 years at least . Think the grandkids inherited it once he could bear to part with it.

When my wife had her mitral valve replaced (open heart surgery) they gave her a heart shaped pillow to hug when she needed to cough and a special harness I was to use to help her get up from her lounge chair.... she's had a pace maker put in since then to help with her A-Fib... she hasn't had a moment's trouble with the surgery or the A-Fib.... best of luck to you.

I will definitely pray for you!
While I'm not sure how you feel about contemporary Christian music, this is a powerfully encouraging song from someone who overcame some health issues herself.

Good to hear from you, Paul, after your surgery !

Hope all goes well for you as you continue your recovery ! !
